Child & Youth Protection
Scouts Aotearoa takes health and safety and child & youth protection very seriously. Our Better Prepared strategic plan includes the key priority of Youth at the Centre, with a focus on keeping our youth safe from harm.
Please review our Code of Ethics and Child & Youth Protection Policy (in line with the Vulnerable Children Act 2014). We also have a social networking policy to help keep our members safe online, and this is also linked below.
Youth Yellow Card
The Youth Yellow Card is a tool we are rolling out nationwide to help young people understand
what to expect from adults, and who to contact if they ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

NOTE TO MEMBERS:
If any member has child protection concerns, they are encouraged to call 0508SCOUTHELP to speak to the duty executive and report concerns immediately.
If your concerns relate to a young person in immediate danger and need of protection, please contact Police on 111 or Oranga Tamariki (0508 FAMILY).
Administration forms for reporting on Youth & Child Protection matters are also linked below.
