Child & Youth Protection

Child & Youth Protection

SCOUTS New Zealand takes health and safety and child & youth protection very seriously.  Our Better Prepared strategic plan includes the key priority of Youth at the Centre, with a focus on keeping our youth safe from harm.

Please review our Code of Conduct and Child & Youth Protection Policy (in line with the Vulnerable Children Act 2014).  We also have a social networking policy to help keep our members safe online, and this is also linked below.

NOTE TO MEMBERS:

If any member has child protection concerns, they are encouraged to call 0508SCOUTHELP to speak to the duty executive and report concerns immediately.

If your concerns relate to a young person in immediate danger and need of protection, please contact Police on 111 or Oranga Tamariki (0508 FAMILY).

Administration forms for reporting on Youth & Child Protection matters are also linked below.
