The Scout Law - Our Values
The new Scout Law for Scouts Aotearoa launched at the start of Term 4, 2015. This new law followed significant nationwide consultation, National Council approval in March 2015 and WOSM (the World Organisation of the Scout Movement) approval in July 2015.
The new Scout Law is a contemporary values model, comprised of three values. This applies to all sections and replaces the old Cub and Scout Law. Keas now have a Promise, Motto and a Law.
The new Scout Law expressed as Values is:
Have Respect
For yourself and others
For the environment
Do What is Right
Be trustworthy and tolerant
Have integrity
Be Positive
Accept challenges with courage
Be a friend to all
Te Reo Maori translation:
